The Nature Bus

The Nature Bus was founded by Jane Doe in 2017 to establish a positive, healthy and educational outlet for children in communities lacking access to nature.

After noticing a lack of positive outlets for children in her neighboring urban communities, she decided that providing children with one of her favorite childhood outlets would be very beneficial and educational. 

​

After initial donations and personal investment, three busses were purchased and renovated and a list of experienced and vetted volunteers was made. 

​

Twice a week (Wednesday after school and Saturday afternoons) we send

three busses into varying communities to pick up children and

transport them to various parks and nature reserves within a one hour trip. 

As our busses and schedules fill, we hope to bring in more mentors and purchase more busses to reach more communities.
