Meet Sara

Isn't she just a gem, folks?
We know.
If you haven't seen Sara at our offices, we're here to introduce you to her today because this girl is truly an inspiration.
Sara started volunteering with us right at our conception after doing some research and getting in contact with us. She has a passion for helping children and is studying at the local college to become a teacher.
She volunteers at least 20 hours a week preparing for our rides, and she mentors many of the kids that ride with us.
"I grew up underprivileged. If it wasn't for teachers stepping in and taking an active part in my life, I wouldn't be working with the Nature Bus today. I absolutely love getting to take kids into nature and watching their eyes glow with fascination." (Sara)
Some interesting things to note about Sara? Her parents migrated from Mexico City when she was just 3 years old. She enjoys reading, baking and, of course, teaching.
Unfortunately, at the end of May, we have to say goodbye to Sara as she departs for her first Teach for America assignment upon graduation. We know she'll do big things for the world.
We love you Sara!
